Welcome to Paddle & Play! With over 11 years of experience, we are passionate about grooming dogs of all shapes and sizes, whether in our salon or through our mobile service at Paws, Claws & Hooves which has been our baby. Our dream has expanded with the creation of Paddle and Play, a dedicated space designed not only to groom dogs but also to enhance their health and well-being. We look forward to to serve both new and returning clients with our grooming, swimming, pet equipment, and amazing doggy daycare services!

Meet Our Experts
Gaby
Gaby is co-owner of Paddle & Play, dedicated to providing exceptional care for every pet that comes through our doors. Fully qualified in both dog and cat grooming, she has been grooming since the age of 19 and brings years of hands-on experience to our family-run business.
Trained in pet first aid, animal management, handling, and behaviour, Gaby combines technical skill with a calm, confident approach. Her extensive knowledge of different breeds — and her particular love for big dogs — ensures each grooming session is carefully tailored to suit individual needs.
Recently qualifying in hydrotherapy, Gaby has expanded her expertise to further support pets’ health and wellbeing, helping them not only look their best but feel their best too.
Fiona has been an integral part of the Paddle & Play team for around six years. As Auntie to Gaby and sister-in-law to Katrina, she is a long-standing and valued member of our business.
Over the years, Fiona has developed her grooming skills alongside our professional groomers, continually building her knowledge and confidence. Her dedication, reliability, and caring nature make her a much-loved part of the team.
We’re incredibly grateful to have Fiona as part of Paddle & Play, where her warmth and commitment help create the welcoming environment our clients know and trust.

Cherie
Meet Cherie, our dedicated groomer at Paws, Claws & Hooves. Known affectionately as the "geordie one," she has built a strong reputation among our clients over the years. Cherie's passion for animals shines through in her work, and her extensive knowledge of dog food and equipment ensures every pet receives the best care. You'll also find her in our swimming pool, assisting dogs with fitness and weight loss, making her a true asset to our team!
Sarah
Sarah is our Head of Day Care at Paddle & Play, as well as a qualified Animal Nutritionist with a degree in Animal Management, Behaviour and Welfare. As part of our family-run business, she plays a key role in ensuring every dog in our care is happy, healthy, and well supported.
Overseeing our day care services, Sarah ensures a safe, enriching, and well-structured environment where dogs can socialise, play, and thrive. Her background in behaviour and welfare allows her to carefully manage group dynamics and support each dog’s individual needs.
Alongside leading day care, Sarah also provides knowledgeable nutritional guidance and oversees our carefully selected stockist range, ensuring we offer high-quality products that truly benefit dogs’ wellbeing.
Her passion is promoting health, happiness, and balanced care — making sure every dog at Paddle & Play feels right at home.
Kirsty
Kirsty may be the youngest member of our team but her talent and determination shine through. She confidently handles dogs of all sizes, never backing down even from the more energetic ones. Kirsty is dedicated to thoroughly prepping all our grooming clients and is to expand her skills by learning from our experienced groomers We're excited to see her grow in her role!

Katrina
Meet Katrina, co-owner of Paddle & Play, a passionate and experienced pet groomer dedicated to providing exceptional care for every animal who visits us. Affectionately known as our “cat lady,” Katrina has extensive experience working with both cats and dogs, combining patience, skill, and a deep understanding of animal behaviour.
With training in pet first aid, handling, and behaviour, she ensures every furry friend is cared for safely and compassionately. Years of hands-on experience with dogs, alongside her recent qualification as a Hydrotherapist, allow Katrina to support pets not only through grooming but also in improving their overall wellbeing.
Her commitment to high standards and genuine love for animals are at the heart of Paddle & Play, helping create the warm, family-focused environment our clients trust.
Caitlin
Meet Caitlin, our shining star who has been with us for the past few years. A fully qualified and extremely talented groomer, she is passionate about making every pet look and feel amazing.
Caitlin works across both Paddle & Play and Paws, Claws & Hooves, supporting our grooming and swimming services alongside our dedicated team. Her enthusiasm, skill, and gentle approach ensure each pet enjoys a positive, confidence-boosting experience.

Jade
Jade is a fully qualified Hydrotherapist and certified K9 Laser Therapist at Paddle & Play. As part of our family-run team, she is passionate about helping dogs recover, build strength, and improve their quality of life.
She creates tailored rehabilitation programmes to support post-operative recovery, arthritis management, weight loss, and mobility, always working closely with owners and vets. Jade’s calm and caring approach ensures every dog feels safe, confident, and part of the Paddle & Play family.
Katie
Katie is a fully qualified Dog Groomer at Paddle & Play, bringing skill, patience, and a genuine love of dogs to every appointment. As part of our family-run team, she is dedicated to making grooming a calm, positive experience for every dog in her care.
From breed-specific styling to practical, low-maintenance trims, Katie takes pride in tailoring each groom to suit both the dog’s needs and the owner’s preferences. Her gentle and reassuring approach helps even nervous dogs feel relaxed and comfortable.
Katie’s goal is simple — to ensure every dog leaves Paddle & Play looking their best and feeling happy, fresh, and confident.
Susan (nana)
Susan, affectionately known as “Nana,” is an extremely valued member of the Paddle & Play team. She supports the business in countless ways — from restocking and cleaning to filming — and in a building this size, her help makes a huge difference.
As Nana to Gaby and mum to Katrina, Susan’s dedication, warmth, and reliability make her an irreplaceable part of the team. We feel incredibly lucky to have her on board!
